The next slides in the deck embedded below are a continuation of what I shared at the mid-point break at ProductCampBoston on April 2, 2011.

These tools are just some of the dozens of tools available to help quantify and report on people, companies and topics in the social media sphere.

This is a rapidly evolving market with larger players being acquired by companies like Salesforce.com (Radian6) and smaller, freemium or advertising based tools that have limited reliability and questionable algorithms.

Product Managers and Product Marketers can use these tools to analyze mentions of their products, find and understand the influence of thought-leaders in their industry and keep tabs of the competition.

Note – some of these links may soon stop working – mostly because these free tools do not “store” results – they depend on Twitter making Tweets available. Very few companies have full access to Twitter or keep their own archive. To use the tool – simply go to the main URL and drop the string referencing #PCampBoston

If there’s one thing that we hear every year, it’s that ProductCamp has so many great sessions that it’s impossible to attend everything you’d like to attend. We’re working to get presentation slides from the session leaders and will share additional info on that as soon as we have it in the next few days. Please continue to check the site for updates.

And if you’re a presenter: please email your presentation to productcampboston [at] gmail [dot] com and we’ll post it on Slideshare in the ProductCamp page where everyone can see it. You should also upload it to Brainshark so everyone can hear your talking points as well. We’ll link to your presentations directly from the ProductCamp Boston website.

Thanks!
The ProductCamp Boston Team

If you’ve been following us on Twitter, you may have noticed that there are over 260 people registered for ProductCamp this Saturday! Or maybe you counted the registrants from Eventbrite! But surely, as a savvy networker, you’ll have to divide and conquer and use many methods to meet everyone and stay in the know!

Here’s how you can do that:

Become part of our Facebook Community. We’ll post photos, comments, and more. Start posting now.

Use the hashtag #pcampboston to tweet about ProductCamp. Tweet about the various sessions you’re participating in. Follow ProductCamp Boston as well.

Bring your best business card to share with others. Here are some fun and creative bcards to look at in the meantime.

Check out the discussion in our LinkedIn group. Better yet, add to it!

Make sure your info on Eventbrite is up to date. In case you run out of business cards, people can easily find you. If you need to update your info, here’s how.

Continue to talk about ProductCamp on your blog. We’ll be updating this page with links to who is talking about ProductCamp Boston.

When in doubt, go back to the hub of all info, the ProductCamp Boston website.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

The ProductCamp Planning Team

Get ready! You might want to head to sleep early Friday night.

At ProductCamp on Saturday, we’ve got many great sessions proposed. In fact, there are 27 proposed sessions…wow! There are some sessions in each of our 9 categories. So there is bound to be something of interest to you throughout the day. If you’d like an early view, some teaser slides have been posted on Brainshark from session leaders. The hard part is, you only get 5 votes for the sessions you want to happen. So choose wisely and preview the topics now so you can mull them over in the next 36 hours! Click here to view a spreadsheet with detailed descriptions and bios.

We hope you’ll enjoy the day as much as we have enjoyed planning this event!

Cheers,
